Who we are
This privacy policy explains how A Weight Loss Tips (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use aweightlosstips.com. We are based in the United States, and the site can be visited from anywhere in the world. Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@aweightlosstips.com.

Calculators and meal planner
Our BMI and energy calculators and our meal planner run entirely in your browser. The numbers and foods you enter are not sent to us and are not saved, not even in your browser’s storage. They are gone when you leave or reload the page. If you print a meal plan or shopping list, that copy stays with you.
Earlier versions of this site had planners and trackers that saved entries in your browser’s local storage, under keys beginning with “awlt:”. Those tools have been removed. Any entries saved before then exist only on your device. We never received them, and you can remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Information collected when the site is delivered
Like any website, our pages are delivered by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the provider’s servers may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We do not use this information to identify you or to build a profile about you. The hosting provider keeps it only for a limited period under its own policies.
If you email us
If you write to contact@aweightlosstips.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include. We use this only to read and reply to your message. We keep it only as long as needed for that purpose, and we will delete it on request. Please don’t send sensitive health information by email.
Cookies and tracking
The site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, social media widgets or other tracking technologies. Fonts and images are served from our own website, not from third-party services.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and use it only to send you the newsletter. We do not sell it, share it for advertising or use it for anything else.
- Our newsletter is sent with Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), an email service that stores your address and delivers the emails on our behalf as our data processor.
- Sign-up uses double opt-in: we first send a confirmation email, and you are only added to the list after you click the link in it. If you don’t confirm, you won’t receive the newsletter.
- Brevo records when you signed up and confirmed, and may record whether newsletter emails are opened and which links are clicked. We use this only to see whether the newsletter is useful.
- Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed.
- We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
Links to other websites
Our articles link to external sources, such as government health websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
Visitors outside the United States
We operate from the United States. Because our calculators don’t save or send what you enter and we don’t use analytics or cookies, the only personal information we may handle is your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, the content of emails you choose to send us, and the technical information processed by our hosting provider to deliver the site. Our newsletter provider, Brevo, is based in the European Union.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, you have rights over personal information we hold about you, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its use, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Where these laws apply, we handle emails you send us based on our legitimate interest in responding to you, and newsletter subscriptions based on your consent. To make a request, email us.
California and other U.S. state privacy rights
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws can request access to, or deletion of, any personal information we hold about them by emailing us. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our calculators are designed for adults and are not suitable for children or teens. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, for example if we add analytics or change newsletter providers, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
